Donations

The TASER Foundation distributes financial gifts to the families of fallen officers in the U.S. and Canada through donations and an initial endowment of $1,000,000 that was created by TASER International and the direct contributions from TASER International employees. Grants are available only upon request by the chiefs of police and sheriffs as well as federal law enforcement executives in the name of officers killed in the line of duty since August 1, 2004 going forward.

TASER International, Inc. bears all of the administrative costs of the TASER Foundation in order to ensure 100 percent of all donations are distributed to the families of fallen officers. The TASER Foundation is a 501(c)3 tax exempt corporation. All donations are tax deductible to the extent allowable by law.

1199 Inc

1199 Inc is a clothing and product line dedicated to police   officers that have fallen in the line of duty. In the spirit of grieving after the loss of a fellow officer and friend, 1199 Inc was started by Jeff Caudill, an active duty police sergeant in Southern California. A portion of 1199 Inc’s proceeds will be donated to the Taser foundation. The TASER® Foundation’s mission is to honor the service and sacrifice of the local and federal law enforcement officers in the United States and Canada lost in the line of duty by providing financial and educational support to their families. If you would like to donate to the TASER® Foundation directly, you may do so at www.taserfoundation.org

1199 is a nationally recognized law enforcement radio code used to relay officer down, or officer in great peril. 1199 Inc hopes to embrace the strength, power and compassion that have long accompanied men and women of the calling. Formed from traditional law enforcement symbolism, 1199 Inc’s logo is a melding between the Celtic cross and the patron of law enforcement, Saint Michael. Within the circle of the design is the respectful motto of the Latin words “In Honor of Those Whom Have Fallen in the Line of Duty”. The mighty patron sword vertically stands in the design as a symbol of strength and the wrath of justice. Outreaching wings of the design represent the role and calling of the guardian Saint Michael over officers. Placed horizontally to complete the holy cross, the handcuffs stand as a reminder to law enforcement’s mission to bring to justice those that would do harm onto others. The divine shield carried by Saint Michael into battle is still represented with honor and distinction by those officers from the past and today.
